What inspired you to enter the restaurant business?
I have been a restaurant operator for 20 years and Roost has been my personal baby for the past 18 months. This has continued to inspire me to create new and exciting meals while being able to assist in providing jobs and growth for talented staff.

Where did you get the name for your business?
We actually got the idea for the name from the weather vane on the roof of the building.

What makes Roost unique?
Our food, and very soon our roasted coffee, is sourced from local, organic and sustainable farming and productions. We are health conscience and our quality dishes are reflective of that. We work hard and our dedicated staff have created a brand name that is associated with healthy living and quality.

To what do you attribute your success in the restaurant market?
Hard work and dedicated staff are key. We are always training, always learning and always focused on quality. We encourage our staff to make decisions on their own with the intention of empowering themselves and therefore making us a restaurant destination for those who appreciate what we put into the meals that we serve them. Oh, did I mention hard work?

What are your most popular dishes?
Paleo Plate; fresh salmon, smashed avocado, seed and nut loaf with free-range poached eggs & micro herb salad
Eggs Benedict; shaved gypsey ham, crisp potato rosti with bacon crumbs and 2 free-range poached eggs.
Our homemade burgers as well as our freshly baked sourdough breads.
